Any long-term care worker working for an adult family home, boarding home or Home Care agency and hired after January 7, 2012, and who did not work as a Home Care Aide in 2011, must complete 75 hours of training within 150 days of being hired (some exemptions apply). This requires completion of 5 hours of safety and orientation training, 70 hours of Core Basic/Population Specific training within 120 days, and successfully passing the Washington State certification examination within 30 days of completion of class.

  • Client Abuse and Harm Prevention, Mandatory Reporting, and Legal Definitions
